year doctors to gather for christmas dinner.

so much has happened since i last updated this blog ..

possibly my last Malaysian night in belfast~

celebrated my 18th cough cough* birthday hehe

passed medical school, which i never ever thought

was possible for myself.

Finally became a real doctor!

(still a junior one of course)

said goodbye to Belfast and friends ...

and went back to the world of FOOD!

got to be acquainted with zizi here.. =)

and met up with best friends and old friends!

this was the one holiday i met up with so many of em ~

did i mention i makan alot of my fav foods!!hehe

i wana eat banana lim lai again =(

had a go with oil painting .. which i loved

Attended my graduation ceremony.

cen see my father there in the background? =p

And obtained my degree! =)

it was a beautiful weather indeed!

got to travel abit, and went to le tour eiffel. ...

which legend was deemed true.

somehow romantic and beautiful.

met up with so many old friends ..

and finally met new ones as well.

shifting into wigan, starting new work in wigan, making friends in wigan.

so much has happened since i last posted a blog post.

swot fashion show round 3

SWOT fashion show 2011!

was quite anticipating this, as i wonder what they

would come up with this year round. ours was gooooood,

intro was good and all,but just the way we did it was ..frustrating.

it could have been the best fashion show with the best people involved.

however, this time round, every choreographer had their say, and

it was refreshing to see what each and everyone of them

had to offer for the fashion show.. for real now!

especially Hannah.. omg. i love her Commander!!! AMAZING!

the enthusiasm n drive of updating is really going down.

but guess its nice when i actually do have the time only then

i'd feed more updates..rather than feel d obligation to update

for the sake of it.

anyways. been in New Zealand, Auckland to be

precise for my elective. from the start to end, its been

quite a rollercoaster of meetups and faces. and emotions.

i can still remember goin to James 1 and half years ago with intention

of the possibility of carrying out my elective here.. knowing

that it might be the ONLY time i can ever meet up with

my closest friends ... before years later, when we

will only see each other if each of us wed.

had many memories weaved since i touched down.

wonder where should i start.

our first dinner in Joy. Thai restaurant.

being a witness to James auditions.. congrats for

being in the Footloose musical! so proud & happy for u!! =D

meow meow. the trigger to my inhibited obsession ...

of paediatrics. n before that had 1
week lecture which made me so malas
to update blog. anyways, was really busy
over in craigavon! even after 2 days, we
all concluded it felt like weeks. plus, just
waiting on the edge for holidays to arrive!!

the bed and having a laptop in front of me..
n just resting after a long tired week!! =D

just transformed totally!

months of preparation and it all boils down to
tonight. so surreal! feel like going through it all
again.. sighs. i did thought about what if, i was just a model
and did not opt as a choreographer, with the stress
of whether or not i can pull off the task in hand.
but looking back, i don't think i'd change my
decision or do much differently. everything that
was went through was in the end, worth it all!
i love how it all turned out,
and i learnt to build my confidence up a weeeeeee bit =p

happy CNY and Valentine's!

celebration felt like it came n gone too fast..
spent my whole Sunday(1st day of CNY & V day)
practicing for the fashion show. felt like
the show is going to be great! =D

but scared scared for mine la. aiks .. pull it
together caryn!

Am doing anaesthetics posting now. something
happened before my eyes for the first time ever. i witnessed
a totally healthy patient literally just walking into the
theatre room for an elective surgery .. to get into cardiac arrest
in a split second after giving her general anaesthetic .. and into a
2nd cardiac arrest one & half hour later. i saw
firsthand how the cardiac arrest team came together
and carried out the algorithms. the atmosphere was
guiltily exhilarating and panicky.. everyone is at
the edge of getting her back again. i even had a chance
to assist here and there, namely setting up IV fluids and cardiac
compressions (correctly!) it was a good experience in my part,
but the worst for her.. sighs. and she's only 40!! =(
may she rest in peace ... =(

but that day i feel its so important to realise that life is
precious .. and to appreciate everyone & everything that's

exam just finished last friday. relieved? yes!!

had a massive shopping spree aft that.. ahh..
i haven't shopped since mid dec! didn't even go to the
boxing day. so its a great feeling to finally splurge and just have some
stress free time .. having a week break now, with a few chores
in hand in my TO-DO list. some ticked off already, but
still can be more productive than this i know.. sometimes
feel like i'm disappearing into nothingness ...sleep sleep only!

finally .. there was snow on a cool Wednesday aftnoon .
best is its right after my Radiology exam. Get to walk home
from hospital and just enjoy the snow!! ahh.. bliss indeed.

with every new year, i don't reflect on how the previous year
has been. i find myself just thinking back on how i
spent all my previous new years ..just the
ones i remeber at least. just that one, is still my
best new year yet... these are the
ones still in mind.

std 5 - dragged into a club by someone. hated it. felt so out of
place and alien with all the adults.
i was just a kid wearing baggy shirt leh.. why am i here??

std 6 - spent new year's at klcc with family.. watched
chun fireworks! downside, crowded till u can smell everyone's
sweat odour.and toxic fumes. blehk.

form 1-5, SAM - i think i just stayed home.. can't remember.

1st year@imu - spent wit high school
friends n him in 1u countdown concert. a very last minute thing ..
almost didn't happen .. they were spraying foam everywhere
when it striked 12. a mini slumber party then at my old hse

2nd year@imu - think i just stayed in vista, escaped
civilisation for the night and had a nice quiet one. just watched
fireworks from my room.

3rd year imu - with son, son in law, him, aaron lai, kaj,
david lee, min. had jap at sushigroove, then kfc in
min's hse (gluttons!) min intro the mayo + ketchup dip. we
watched countdown concert on fuzzy tv and watched fireworks
that were released in stadium bkt jalil. everyone huddled together
at my place aft that and watched a movie .. is it "1408"??
think next day we had banana lim lai!

1st year@Belfast- celebrated away from home for the
first time .. in rome with a whole bunch of great
new friends. happy, in the most forceful manner.
2009 looked so bleak then. tsk tsk

2nd year@Belfast - here we are. edinburgh! was looking
forward to this trip for past 2 months. esp to see
the people! conclusion .. i like edinburgh.. =)

Christmas, it can mean different things
to so many people. a time for family, a
time to celebrate be it as a festivity or
in its true meaning. for me, it brings a
solemn slash. i'll still enjoy Christmas
of course, its hard not to. the atmosphere's
wonderfully uplifting. people around me are
just the dearest ..but i'll walk through it with
a weak but convincing enough smile,
loud laughs to drown my inner cry and hugs
all around to warm my frozen insides.

last night snowed at 2am, me, jeng haw
and jay went out to play with snow for
a while. even took lovely photos.
but at the church this morning i was
jus going to delete one .. ONE picture, i
deleted the whole folder!! arGHHHH!!!!
all the snow pics gone.. some more
saw so many ppl putting up their snow pictures.
well .. thankfully there are THREE
pictures taken with the big cam last night
of how snow was, just right outside my house.

busy busy weekend! with friday night gathering

for kay teck's birthday, then next day winter solstice
event and then sunday night .. yummy nasi lemak.
it was quite nice with each of it reminding
of back home to an extent..
ngek ngek.

went for thai food.. first time trying this
place. Bo Tree Thai Restaurant. the interior of
the place really quite posh.

food was yummy, really as authentic as it can get
around here. but, the portion's quite small, considering
the price of each dish! nevertheless .. yummY!!! *lipsmacks*

i think the best part of the whole dinner is the tom
yam soup. really spicy and tasty, with lotsa
seafood.
